Bring your own cards
Any Anki deck (.apkg). Imported on this device and available offline. If enabled, encrypted backups include your cards and imported audio. Scheduling is FSRS: due cards queue into your next run and every review still earns altitude.
Keeps the first audio attachment on each card’s front for playback during review. Turn off to save space and use text-to-speech instead. This does not record your microphone or change diagnostic recording.
Arithmetic
From clean place value to fluent operations.
Mathematics
Formulas and patterns held as one spoken thought.
Calendar math
Memorize the codes with flashcards. Practice the calculations on an adaptive ladder.
Calendar code flashcards
Month codes, century codes, weekday numbers, and leap-year rules. 34 cards in Anki mode, with spaced reviews separate from calculation difficulty.
How the month and century codes work
Gregorian month-offset method, not Conway's Doomsday anchors. Use these base codes all year:
- January
- 0
- February
- 3
- March
- 3
- April
- 6
- May
- 1
- June
- 4
- July
- 6
- August
- 2
- September
- 5
- October
- 0
- November
- 3
- December
- 5
1900s = 0 · 2000s = 6 · 2100s = 4 · 2200s = 2 · 2300s = 0. The century cycle repeats every 400 years.
Year code = the last two year digits + their whole-number quotient on division by 4, then the remainder modulo 7.
Weekday = (day + month code + century code + year code − leap correction) modulo 7.
Subtract 1 for January or February in a leap year only. A year is leap if divisible by 4, except century years must also be divisible by 400: 2000 is leap; 1900 and 2100 are not.
0 = Sunday · 1 = Monday · 2 = Tuesday · 3 = Wednesday · 4 = Thursday · 5 = Friday · 6 = Saturday
February 29, 2024: 29 (day) + 3 (month) + 6 (century) + 24 + 6 (whole quarters) − 1 (January/February in a leap year) = 67. Remainder 4 after division by 7: Thursday.
All generated dates use the Gregorian calendar, including historical dates before some countries adopted it.
